Statue of Ugra Narsimha

This image of Lakshmi-Narasimha, popularly called Ugranarasimha, meaning Narasimha of terrifying countenance, is hewn out of a rock in-situ. According to an inscription found here, it was executed in 1528 A.D.

Elephant Stables

: A grand building with 11 domed chambers where the state elephants once resided – each chamber has a small opening where mahouts once entered. The stables are accessed via the Zenana enclosure. There's a free sound-and-light show here at 7pm, weather permitting.

Matanga Hill

Matanga Hill is one of the major places to visit in Hampi. Being the highest point in Hampi; this is the best spot to get an aerial view of Hampi and its surroundings. There is a small temple on the top of Matanga Hill. On the way down there is a small cave marked where it is believed that Sugriva, ruler of Kishkinda, used to hide.

Virupaksha Temple

The focal point of Hampi Bazaar is the Virupaksha Temple, one of the city’s oldest structures, and Hampi’s only remaining working temple.
