Bylakuppe is a Tibetan settlement area about 6 kilometres Kushalanagara and is home to the magnificent Namdroling Monastery or Golden Temple. 

Cauveri Nisargadhama

Situated about 30 kilometres from Madikeri, Cauveri Nisargadhama is an island formed by River Kaveri. It is a popular picnic spot dotted with bamboo groves and sandalwood trees. 

Talakaveri

Located about 53 kilometres from Coorg, Talakaveri is considered to be the origin of River Kaveri. A small tank built around a temple marks the origin of the river and the temple is dedicated to Goddess Kaveriamma. One can also enjoy breathtaking views of the Brahmagiri Mountains from Talakaveri.
